Things to do in the Rain...

The past few days it has been raining like carzy!  Can't say that I don't like it, but it does pose a few issues when leaving the house.  We've gotten creative during the day finding things to do because my idea of a good time doesn't include chasing 2 kids in the rain... especially the Mr.- he's all boy and wants to splash in every puddle!  Here is our list of "raining day in the house fun things to do"...

  1. play cars
  2. play dolls
  3. play basketball (in the house of course!)
  4. color
  5. scrapbook
  6. run around
  7. do work out videos together
  8. drink hot chocolate
  9. play with play-doh
  10. surf the net
  11. watch movies
  12. bake cookies
  13. bake bread
  14. organize toys
  15. laundry
  16. coupon clip
  17. clean the vaccuumm cleaner parts
  18. clean the pantry
  19. clean out the fridge
  20. invite friends over
  21. ride bikes in the garage
  22. sing silly songs
  23. play prince and princess
  24. do the dishes
  25. nap
I wonder what other mom's with little ones are doing in the rain... so far it hasn't been too bad!

Blog Slacker!!

I haven't blogged in an entire month!! I guess that is a reflection of the stereotypical holiday business. December was a busy time, as well as the last week as we rung in the New Year (is that haw you say that?).

Here are a few of the things that have kept the Hunt family on the go!

• Christmas baking (of course!)
• I quit my job in order to be fully present at home with the kids, after all, they will only be this little once... and it is going TOO FAST!! As well as needing to have a clearer plate to support Troy in his many endeavors with church, work, and school. I have been wrapping up all the loose ends for the next person to come and take the reigns.
• Our first night away from kids! (I know, it's crazy that it took this long!) We went to Troy's work holiday party at the Biltmore and stayed the night. It was a blast!
• Many Christmas gatherings with family and friends.
• A few hilarious photo sessions in an effort to create a Christmas card from.
• Josiah's double ear infection the week of Christmas
• Christmas on Christmas Eve with my family
• Drive to San Diego
• Christmas in San Diego
• Drive home on the 26th
• Josiah's allergic reaction to the penicillin right after Christmas (the 27th)
• Charity did not cut her hair this Christmas!! Yeah!!
• My dad's 49TH BIRTHDAY!! He's getting OLD!!
• New Year's Eve Party with our friends two houses down
• New Year's day... cobblestone cake for breakfast, played wii at dad's house
• Josiah has a mystery issue with his knee and can't walk or straighten his leg until the 2nd... and now he is completely fine!! Not sure what that was all about, but the Lord sure keeps us on our knees!!
• Christmas with Grandma and Papa! Josiah hasn't stopped playing basketball since, and I think we've watched Snow White 5 times!
• Troy leaves to go out of town on a church retreat.... so I am home with the kids... we are having a good time, playing, taking walks and hanging out with friends!

So that is the last few weeks in nut shell... more to come... with pictures.
